About Me
Michelle Ranken is a writer and editor based in New York City. She counts herself lucky for bombing the LSAT back in 2014 because it ultimately led her to pursue a career in writing (something she was actually good at). Originally from Seattle, Washington, she began her writing career as a freelancer reporting on local Seattle topics such as community spotlights and restaurant reviews, but eventually she branched out to cover a wider array of subjects including social justice, comedy, and STEM education. Her work has appeared in Cracked, Millie Magazine, Crosscut, and more.
